Location: Forêt nationale de Fontainebleau
Capacity: 50

During Ascension Day ESAC is heading to Fontainebleau!
Four days in the most legendary bouldering area on Earth, with lots of climbing, chilling and fun! From alpinism training in the late eighteen-hundreds by nearby Parisians, to the first 6a bloc in the world and a 9a established in 2021, the trip to Bleau is for sure the ultimate pilgrimage destination for all the boulderers or rope climbers who want to get their asses kicked.
We will leave on the 14th of May in the morning and return on 17th of May in the evening.
And of course, Saturday evening we'll have the Fonte Avond! For those that don't know it yet, it is an evening where people can show their coolest skills! Think about juggling or a human pyramid.
Due to the fact that this is both a historical area, as well as a busy area, some ethics are important to keep in mind: DO NOT CLIMB ON WET ROCK, IT WILL BREAK, do not even try. DO NOT SMOKE or use any kind of fires while at the climbing area. Make sure to keep the forest clean, keep a bit quiet and try to keep out of the way of other (individual) climbers.
We will be going to Camping Les Prés. There are only 50 spots, and subscriptions tend to fill up quickly, so be ready to subscribe.
The subscriptions will open up on Monday 16/03 12:00 for one week. After this time, so on Monday 23/03 12:00 we will perform a selection. This selection will prioritize in descending order:
Board (responsible for organization)
Having a car available. This needs to be certain.
Having a crashpad available. This needs to be certain.
After this it’s a lottery.
We aim to have the results published on Thursday the 26th of March.
In case the subscriptions do not fill up within the week, it will function on a first-come-first-serve basis. In this case, subscriptions will remain open until 02/05/2026. If you want to unsubscribe you can do so until 03/05/2026. After this day, full costs will be charged.
